About the role
We're looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to help build and scale the core infrastructure powering Newport AI's multimodal platform. You'll work across the entire stack, from designing resilient APIs to crafting polished user interfaces, and ship features used by thousands of enterprise customers every day.
This is a high-ownership, high-impact role. You'll collaborate closely with our product and AI research teams to bring new capabilities to life, fast.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Node.js / Python
- Build performant frontend features using Vue or React
- Own features end-to-end, from technical design through launch and iteration
- Collaborate with AI researchers to integrate new model capabilities into product
- Improve reliability, observability, and performance of production systems
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team engineering culture
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (Node.js, Python, Go)
- Experience building modern frontend applications at scale
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and databases
- Track record of shipping high-quality software in fast-moving environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Nice to have
- Experience with AI/ML infrastructure or model serving
- Familiarity with real-time audio/video processing pipelines
- Open source contributions or side projects you're proud of
